# RATIO Tokenomics

{% hint style="info" %}
**Good to know:** $USDr (stablecoin) and $RATIO (SPL governance token) are the 2 tokens associated to the protocol.
{% endhint %}

**Definition of Tokenomics:** The study of the economic forces that govern the market for a crypto asset (in our case $RATIO and $USDr). The value in tokenomics is understanding the dynamics of the token supply and demand over time, which should in turn help people understand how its market price may change over time.

In the next sub-sections we will provide more details regarding the specifics of each token.
